Twenty diocesan ministries, entities have signed up for this year’s #iGiveCatholic

Twenty Catholic diocesan entities will take part in Giving Tuesday on Nov. 29.

Connor Meier said the Diocese of Wichita is excited to partner with #iGiveCatholic for Giving Tuesday because it allows donors to give from a uniquely Catholic perspective.

Meier, the assistant director of Development and Planned Giving, said last year that more than $138,000 in additional funds was raised for diocesan ministries. “We’re hopeful to eclipse that mark this year with another strong showing of support.”

Giving Tuesday has evolved into a global day of giving that promotes philanthropy, he said.

“From a stewardship standpoint, it doesn’t take away anything from your tithing. It provides another opportunity for people to make a gift to either a parish school or ministry that’s important to them on that national day of philanthropy.”

Potential donors may visit Wichita.iGiveCatholic.org beginning Nov. 14-29 to support their favorite parish, school or ministry. For questions, or to make your Giving Tuesday gift over the phone, please call the Office of Development and Planned Giving at 316-269-3917.
