Sky Creed may be the program coordinator of Totus Tuus but she’s still learning.

Creed has been at the helm of the summer youth program for a few weeks, a program that helped form her faith in her youth.

She succeeds Liz Clark who has been showing her details about coordinating the program dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic faith through catechesis, evangelization, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship.

Ten teams have been visiting parishes for the last several weeks, she said. A parish Totus Tuus team spends a week at a parish catechizing grade school children.

Totus Tuus started in June

Totus Tuus started in June with several teams combining at one parish for training purposes. “It let us work out the kinks and gave the teams an opportunity to teach.”

The Totus Tuus Camp is also underway, she said, with 29 team members assigned for the weeklong camps for middle and high school students.

“It’s a beautiful program,” she said. “I’m a product of it myself so it’s really cool to be back and work on this side of it, to see the work it does in the kids’ lives – both those who work it and those who take part. It really forms the whole person.”

Clark described Totus Tuus as an incredible program and that it had been a blessing to coordinate is the past four years.
“It has been a joy to see the transformation of the missionaries and youth as they have encountered the person of Christ in the Totus Tuus program!”
