Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a 3-day retreat based on the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ. TEC involves older adolescents & young adults encountering Christ in a way that many have never experienced before.
On a TEC retreat, you will have the opportunity to grow in your relationship with Christ through talks, group discussion, individual reflection and prayer, and sharing in the Sacraments. Not only is TEC about faith; it is also about having fun and getting to know other youth and young adults from around the Wichita Diocese. For an inspiring opportunity to grow in your relationship with Christ and build lasting Christian friendships, TEC is the place to be.
The weekend is led by a team of youth and adults, with a priest as spiritual director.
A community of Catholic young adults seeking to be Christ's disciples and grow in discipleship, while inspiring and equipping others to do the same.
The KCCSC is an annual event for Catholic college students throughout the state of Kansas. It is held the first full weekend in February and is hosted each year by a different student-led team from various Catholic Campus Ministries or Newman Centers throughout the state. The location of KCCSC rotates to different locations each year, determined by the host parish.
KCCSC typically begins on Friday evening and concludes by noon on Sunday. National, regional and local speakers key-note this event. In addition, workshop sessions relevant to the spiritual growth of college students are offered, including a special session with the bishops of Kansas. Opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation are available during Eucharistic Adoration. Participants enjoy a nice dressy banquet and dance on Saturday night.
Information for the next KCCSC will be posted as details become available.
KCCSC 2018 will be hosted by the students at St. Pius X Catholic Student Center at Pittsburg State University
SEEK is an invitation to college students everywhere to explore life’s bigger questions: who we are, where we’re going and what we seek along the journey. As FOCUS’ national conference, SEEK encourages all students to come explore what they truly seek: to learn about the faith, to share in friendship, to be encouraged in their unique vocation — and to experience the love, hope and very real presence of Jesus Christ through His Church.
Hosted for five days every other year, SEEK gathers thousands of college students together from all across the country for a time of prayer, fellowship, engaging talks, inspiring entertainment — and, most importantly, a chance to encounter Christ in a life-changing way.
World Youth Day 2019 will be held in Panama on January 20-29, 2019.
