Volunteer Coordinator

The Lord's Diner - Wichita

The Catholic Diocese of Wichita is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as Volunteer Coordinator for the Lord’s Diner. This individual will be responsible for the recruitment, recognition, tracking, coordination and retention of volunteers. Responsibilities will also include welcoming visitors to the Lord’s Diner, answering the phone, providing information in a warm, friendly manner and filling in as needed during service times. This individual should have a focus on mission, knowledge of and commitment to Gospel values, with a heart of a disciple, and desire to serve those most in need. This opening will be available in June 2024.

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, social work or related field is preferred
• Practicing Catholic who relates well to people of all faiths and backgrounds preferred
• Previous experience working with and directing volunteers preferred
• Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required, prefer database experience
• Strong desire to serve those in need required
