Sr. Mary Rachel

Sr. Mary Rachel is a member of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT), a missionary community of priests, consecrated brothers and sisters, and laity, founded in 1958.  She professed her Final Vows in 2021.  She grew up in Texas in a Catholic family and has five brothers, one sister, and twelve nieces and nephews.  She went to Franciscan University of Steubenville for her Undergraduate studies in Theology and wrote her Senior thesis on Our Lady, Personification of the Feminine Genius.

Sister currently serves at the SOLT mission in Kansas City, Missouri, where the Sisters have Our Lady’s Montessori School, a preK-3 through 8th grade Catholic Montessori School.  Before Kansas City, she served for five years in the  mission in Belize, Central America, where she worked as DRE and became fluent in Spanish.  She loves beautiful things, especially waterfalls and music, and her favorite saint, after Our Lady of Guadalupe, is Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati.

Sarah Kroger

Musician

Sarah Kroger is a Nashville-based, catholic worship leader and songwriter who has released five albums: Your time (2011,) Hallelujah Is Our Song (2013,) Bloom (2019,) Light (2020,) and her latest live album, The London Sessions (2023.) She is part of the multi-cultural trio Village Lights as well as the female collective FAITHFUL, two enterprises that are a testament to her prolific creativity and talent.

With parents involved in worship ministry, Kroger’s love for music was sparked at a young age but the impact of bullying coupled with her struggle with anxiety and shyness hid her musical gift for years. Everything changed when she met Jesus in an intimate encounter through worship at a youth conference; “Worship became my language with God,” she explains. “It allowed me to communicate with the Lord in a way I hadn’t experienced before, there was something about it that opened my heart.” Realizing that music was a gift she desired to give back to the Lord, Kroger began exploring worship leading from then on.

Her courage grew along the way and opened an exciting journey of passionately leading worship for events around the world, drawing people from a variety of cultures and church backgrounds under the banner of Jesus for the past ten years. Kroger’s passion is to create a safe and prayerful space through her music in which people can encounter the heart of God in a profound way.

As a contemporary worship leader in the Catholic Church, Sarah Kroger gives a new language to people’s relationship with Jesus, inspiring her listeners to keep saying yes to vulnerability, intimacy, and honesty.
