Center of Hope dinner April 29

Ministry helped over 4,000 families in 2017
The Center of Hope’s annual benefit dinner will be held Sunday, April 29, in the Dugan Library & Campus Center at Newman University in Wichita.
The event’s theme is “Love Begins at Home,” a quote from Mother Teresa. The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a private reception for sponsors and their guests. A wine and beer reception for all begins at 5:30 p.m. The dinner and program begin at 6:30 p.m.
Both live and silent auctions will be held. Auction items include a country club golf outing, an HVAC installation, Italian cooking classes with Luciano, a Flint Hills cattle drive, WSC Coach for a day, and vacation resort lodging.
To top off the evening, 50 keys will be made available to guests. One key will unlock a treasure chest containing prizes valued in excess of $2000.
The Center of Hope, which is sponsored by the Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ, provides homeless prevention service by helping with rent and utility assistance for those facing eviction. All donations are used to pay rent and utility assistance. None is used to pay any salary, operating or administrative costs.
Center of Hope helped 4,097 families (10,726 persons) with over $1,500,000 in rent and utility assistance this past year. Center of Hope also provides intensive case management services to those in critical need.
