Prayer - a heart to heart with God

It is through the Pillar of Prayer that we nurture our personal relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The Pillar of Prayer offers opportunities and teaches parishioners to participate in prayer as a community, and at home in the domestic church.  It is through prayer and the Mass that we learn to gratefully recognize, receive and share our gifts in love of God and neighbor.

“How good it is to stand before a crucifix or on our knees before the Blessed Sacrament and simply to be in his presence!  How much good it does us when he once more touches our lives and impels us to share his new life!” - Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel) Apostolic Exhortation on the proclamation of the Gospel in today’s world, November 24, 2013 n. 264

In 1981, Blessed Pope John Paul II said, “The best, the most effective, and the surest way of bringing about an everlasting peace on the face of the earth is through the great power of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, because only Jesus has the power and the love to redirect the course of human history back to the path of peace, which He promised.”
