Visions of the Future Scholarship Fund
The Visions of the Future Scholarship provides financial support to graduates from the Diocese of Wichita who will be attending a Catholic college or university. The scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis, with award amounts ranging from $500 – $1,500 depending on the number of recipients.
Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a graduating senior in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. Award preference will be given to (1) graduating high school seniors from the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, and (2) students who demonstrate a need for financial assistance or special circumstances.
Application Guidelines: To apply, students must submit the following:
1. A completed scholarship application form.
2. A high school transcript showing GPA.
3. A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor employer, or community service organization sponsor.
Renewal Requirements: To renew the scholarship, recipients must:
1. Applications are limited to high school seniors, however first-year award recipients are eligible to re-apply for up to three additional years.
Deadlines and Award Details:
Scholarship applications open January 1, 2026 and are due by March 1, 2026.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 1, 2026. The scholarship award will be paid directly to the school and can be used for tuition, books, or fees.
Scholarship Selection:
The Catholic Diocese of Wichita will administer the scholarship and make the award based on the recommendation of the diocesan scholarship selection committee.
