For Youth, Young Adult, and College Ministry

The Catholic Diocese of Wichita is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as a full-time program coordinator for the Office of Faith Formation for Youth, Young Adult, and College Ministry.  This person will provide service, resources, training, and policy guidance for parishes, pastors, youth ministry leaders, young adult ministry leaders, college campuses, and other parish staff and volunteers.  This individual will assist parishes in establishing, growing and maintaining robust outreach and ministry to middle school and high school youth, college students and young adults.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Practicing Catholic striving to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ and an active and faithful steward in their parish

  • Extensive, successful parish and Catholic community experience working in youth ministry and/or young adult ministry, and/or college ministry

  • Willingness to work effectively with pastors, parish youth ministry leaders, youth, volunteers, the Office of Faith Formation staff and Curia Offices

  • Proven administrative skills, including interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, collaboration and budget preparation

  • Knowledge of Church teaching and relevant theology and practice of youth, young adult, and college ministry

  • Ability to travel with frequency to train personnel (paid and volunteer) in parishes

  • Bachelor’s in theology, ministry or related field strongly preferred. 

  • Respect for and ability to work with all cultures and social backgrounds

  • Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and verbal communication

  • Fluency in Spanish very helpful

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; social media background and occasional work with websites preferred
