Holidays and Giving

Every day we see people in need; struggling to get back on their feet and working for a better life. Guadalupe Clinic can play a large part in their journey through providing them access to quality, compassionate healthcare.

During the holidays, thanks to so many generous donors, Guadalupe Clinic staff and volunteers provide patients and their families with food, gifts, many household necessities and even a visit from Santa!

This year Christmas food boxes will be distributed on the morning of Saturday, December 15. Families receive all the traditional holiday foods:  turkey, dressing, potatoes and gravy, cranberries, pies, veggies, fresh milk, and more.  Whenever possible additional food is included to help out with the days before and following the holiday.

When picking up their boxes, everyone is invited to accept gifts for their children or grandchildren. We also have a myriad of household and personal items to peruse. These range from winter coats and gloves to mops and brooms.

It’s a busy day and a very rewarding one for all! If you would like to support Christmas giving, please contact Alley Miller: amiller@guadalupeclinic.com

Our History

In 1985, six volunteer nurses decided to change the face of medicine in Wichita.  They wanted quality affordable health care made available to everyone, regardless of income.  They founded Guadalupe Health Station, which later was renamed Guadalupe Clinic.  Now some 32 years later, there are three clinics and volunteers and staff also provide outreach services at various locations around Wichita.  Guadalupe Clinic has been a donation-based clinic since its inception in 1985. Patients are asked for a $5 donation and receive a doctor's care, lab tests, x-rays, and medication for that donation. No one is ever turned away due to an inability to donate.   Medical volunteers along with staff provide thousands of medical services each year to those in our community with no insurance or other affordable means to health care services.

These are the many companies and foundations that have provided Guadalupe Clinic with needed funding through grant opportunities. We are humbled and grateful for their belief in our mission and for all of their generous support.
