Speaker's Bio: Kree (Kenton) Peña, a native of Wichita, graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2008 with a degree in Theology and Catechetics, with a concentration in Youth Ministry. She spent 5 years working as a missionary for Dirty Vagabond Ministries in Rochester and Brooklyn, New York. Dirty Vagabond is a non profit ministry which reaches out to inner city teens on the streets and brings them to know the love of Jesus Christ through relational ministry. While in New York she met her husband, Emmanuel Peña. They have two little boys, Juan Diego and Kolbe. They moved from New York to Wichita in July of 2014. Kree is thankful to be closer to family here in Wichita. She is a busy stay at home mom and permanent substitute for Fr. Ben Sawyer's Senior Vocations Class at Bishop Carroll, where you can find her subbing for him every Monday. They are slowly getting adjusted to life in Wichita and really enjoy being active in Christ the King parish. Kree has a passion for youth ministry and a real heart dedicated to serving the poor.
