2015 March College Age Ministry Highlights

We are about 1/2 way through Lent, and those of you in school are about 1/2 through your semester! Keep calm and keep the faith. No matter how busy you are, making the time to nurture your relationship with God is always time well-spent! Here are a few highlights for your consideration. The Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) have the following retreats scheduled this spring for college age women:
- Lenten Retreat on March 20-22
- Come & See on April 10-12
Both retreats are from 7:00 pm Friday - 1:30 pm Sunday IHM Motherhouse in Wichita.

What is Lent? from Catholic Relief Services has a number of great video reflections on Lent by various well-known speakers, including Archbishop Paul Coakley who is from our diocese! Check them out.


You are invited to attend as much of the Prayer & Action College Week Mission Experience as your schedule will allow. The week begins on Sunday, June 7 at 5 pm and ends by noon on Friday, June 12. Day-only participants are also welcome. Registration opens on April 1. Download forms here.

2015 February College Age Ministry Highlights

Lent 2015 begins on February 18. Let us help you make this a meaningful six weeks for you. You can look at the next month and a half as a kind of "spiritual boot camp." Think about areas of your spiritual life that you want to strengthen, and then find a work-out routine that will focus on that area. Here are some ideas to get you started.

2) The Happiness Newsletter - monthly updates from the Magis Center on Faith & Reason

3) Sign up to hear Fr. Jarrod's daily homilies!

1) Take a daily Three Minute Retreat – Three minutes a day can give you 24 hours of peace

2) Get inspired by fellowship of Catholic university students (focus) missionaries through their daily blogs 

3) Look up daily reflections, additional ways to pray Lent and/or become a part of a world-wide Lent Reading Group all from Creighton University Online Ministries


1) Sign up with the Wichita delegation for World Youth Day in Poland (July 18-Aug 1, 2016)

2)  Join the group making a 60 mile pilgrimage from Wichita to Pilsen on June 5-7 in honor of Fr. Kapaun

3) Start or join a group to help fight human trafficking in the world.
