2015 February College Age Ministry Highlights

Lent 2015 begins on February 18. Let us help you make this a meaningful six weeks for you. You can look at the next month and a half as a kind of "spiritual boot camp." Think about areas of your spiritual life that you want to strengthen, and then find a work-out routine that will focus on that area. Here are some ideas to get you started.

2) The Happiness Newsletter - monthly updates from the Magis Center on Faith & Reason

3) Sign up to hear Fr. Jarrod's daily homilies!

1) Take a daily Three Minute Retreat – Three minutes a day can give you 24 hours of peace

2) Get inspired by fellowship of Catholic university students (focus) missionaries through their daily blogs 

3) Look up daily reflections, additional ways to pray Lent and/or become a part of a world-wide Lent Reading Group all from Creighton University Online Ministries


1) Sign up with the Wichita delegation for World Youth Day in Poland (July 18-Aug 1, 2016)

2)  Join the group making a 60 mile pilgrimage from Wichita to Pilsen on June 5-7 in honor of Fr. Kapaun

3) Start or join a group to help fight human trafficking in the world.

2) Serve in Wichita for one year with the St. Joseph Worker Program. Apps due May 1st.

Happy New Year! All of the staff of the Office of Faith Formation wish you great success on this upcoming semester, and encourage you to draw at least one step closer to Jesus this year. There are a number of opportunities available to you. Start with just one. God bless you!

GROW IN FAITH                          

1) KCCSC in Manhattan Feb 6-8. Register soon!

2) TEC Grains (for those who have made a TEC retreat). Jan 9 dessert pot-luck and social. Jan 10 Reaping the Harvest--both at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Wichita

3) Add a daily spiritual reading to your routine. Here are a few to choose from: The Gospels in a Year; The Catechism in a Year; Saint of the Day

2)Just for the guys: 
Looking for a different Spring Break experience? College age males are invited to serve and pray alongside the Capuchin Franciscans in Denver during their Capuchin Challenge alternative spring break event from March 16-21, 2015. Download flyer here. Registration deadline is February 15, 2015. 

3) Serve this summer as a Totus Tuus teacher or camp counselor. New and returning teacher applications may be found here.

4) Serve this summer on the Prayer & Action Team. Contact the Office of Faith Formation if interested.


Make plans to attend the February Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) retreat Feb. 14-16 in Wichita.
