 Voice of Ability

By Jason Johnson
My name is Jason Morgan Johnson. I am 37. I was born at the Hutchinson Hospital in Hutchinson, Kansas. I was born with pseudo-hypo-parathyroidism, a medical defect.
My parents are Roger and Beverly Johnson. My older sister is Dr. Rogena Johnson, M.D. She works for Prairie Star Health Center in Hutchinson. She is also the chief medical officer there.
My mom is a retired special education teacher. My dad is a retired grain inspector. My grandparents were Barney and Doris Oborny. My grandpa died at age 82. Grandma died at 76.
I work for Dillons Grocery Store #25. I’m a carry-out, courtesy clerk, and sacker. I love bowling and watching sports on TV. I am the biggest Chiefs fan ever! I love watching them and the Royals.
I love going to Holy Family Camp. I have gone 29 years. I have many good friends. Some of them are Sara and Emma. Amanda is one of my supervisors. She is a cool person. She helps me out a lot with our surveys. I forgot to mention Jerry Hill who died last December, the week before Christmas. My other friends names are Lindsay, Pam, and their whole family.
I love playing video games on my PS4, like Madden 17. I love fishing. I also love hanging out with friends and watching movies. I like going to the Kansas State Fair and the concerts. The first concert I saw was Dwight Yoakam with my ex brother-in-law, Craig. It was a blast. My sweet sister Gena is the best sister ever. She buys me all kinds of shoes and clothes. I am happy I have my big sister. I don’t know where I would be without my sister!
Johnson is a member of St. Teresa Parish in Hutchinson.
