Special Olympics

The Ministry with Persons with Disabilities has formed a Special Olympics team called the Wichita Saints! Any person with an intellectual disability who is eight years of age or older may join. Special Olympics Kansas is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities. This team will have the additional benefit of praying together and being part of a faith community within a social setting. See below for information about each of our Special Olympics teams.

Track and Field

The Wichita Saints Track and Field team begins its season in the spring. Practices take place on Sunday evenings (with a few exceptions) at the Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School track (8506 E. Central) from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Pictures from State Track & Field coming soon!

Volunteers
Our volunteers are crucial to the success of the Special Olympics teams! If you are interested in becoming a Special Olympics volunteer, you are invited to fill out a volunteer application form and bring it with you to practice. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. If you are 18 years of age or older, you are required to be VIRTUS trained as well. You can access the volunteer application at the link below.
