The Diocese of Wichita is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Mission Coordinator for The Lord’s Diner, Pittsburg. Under the direction of the Site Director, the Mission Coordinator will oversee all aspects of mission advancement – embracing and communicating the mission, vision, and values of The Lord’s Diner. In conjunction with the Lord’s Diner staff in Wichita, this individual will be responsible for advancing PR and the development of The Lord’s Diner in Pittsburg. This individual will also help the Volunteer Coordinator recruit additional volunteers, periodically plan and implement mission oriented activities, and fill-in as needed with serving. This is a part-time position, approximately 15-20 hours a week. The following are requirements for the opening:

• Must demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, be well organized and possess knowledge of, commitment to, and a desire to serve the hungry
• Previous experience in marketing, development and/or communications preferred
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers and the community
• Good computer skills and a passion for mission
