The Medical Assistant works to assist the medical providers (physicians, physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses), the nursing staff and volunteers, in the provision of care to the patients of Guadalupe Clinic. This position is supervised and reports to the Director of Nursing and the Executive Director.

• Must understand, support and promote the mission of Guadalupe Clinic, Inc. (To provide access to necessary health care to those in need; to work for social justice in health care, to call the entire Church and other people of goodwill to join in these efforts).
• Must be properly trained and instructed in technical and clinical skills pertaining to practice as a Medical Assistant.
• Must possess professional communication skills and writing ability and maintain a strict sense of confidentiality required as it pertains to patient/clinic information and medical records.
• Must be able to relate well with patients, staff and volunteers from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds.
• English/Spanish fluency is required.
• Experience working in a medical office is preferred.
• Must understand the need to be flexible in order to meet the changing needs of the clinic patients and staff.
