General Position Summary: The Referral Coordinator manages patient referrals for external medical services.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiate referral process for outsourced medical services ordered by provider for patient.
- Collaborate with referral source coordinators to assure completion of procedure for application and approval.
- Document referral information and all patient communications into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Track allocated test usage.
- Communicate with patients regarding status of referral including assisting the patient with appointment scheduling as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Medical Office experience, professional office, and organizational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; English and Spanish fluency required.
- Ability to work independently and organize and prioritize work to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to embrace and personify the mission of Guadalupe Clinic with socio-economic and cultural sensitivity in mind.
