FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-exempt, part-time

General Position Summary:
The Food Service Director, under the direction of the Finance Director for Secondary Catholic Schools, is responsible for the 1) supervision of the Food Service Onsite Managers at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School and Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School, and 2) the bookkeeping of the programs for both high schools.

Specific Hour Requirements: 20-30 Hours per week

Specific Duties of the Director of Food Service:
• Serve as the supervisor of the food service onsite managers
• Provide performance feedback of the food service onsite managers
• Oversee the overall personnel cost for the program
• Track all sick leave and paid time off for Food Service on-site managers
• Comply with and enforce all Child Nutrition guidelines
• Attend all KSDE classes for Food Service Directors
• Manage all Child Nutrition Forms, posted by KSDE in June for coming year
• Menu planning to balance and meet all meal requirements
• Manage & oversee MCA Café in PowerSchool
• Provide August Food Service Staff Training for each High School
• Child Nutrition Program Verification, beginning October 1 through November 15.
• Participate in KSDE sponsored webinars
• Manage Wellness Policy
• Maintain daily sales records & deposits for BC & KMC
• Maintain Daily Record of Breakfasts, Form 9-B and Lunches, Form 9-A for use in filing claim
• File monthly Reimbursement Claims & Financial Reports (KSDE), Annual KSDE Financial Report and QuickBooks General Ledger & P&L monthly reports
• Record, and retain on computer, production records for each day, at month end, by school
• Reconcile invoices to vendor statements and prepare for payment
• Reconcile on-line payments, credit & debit, to bank statement by school by day each month
• Record on-line payments from efunds on KSDE form 10-A at month end
• Input sales data into QuickBooks
• Resource to Primary Schools
• Oversee Procurement of all purchases made by each school
• On-Site Accountability Review for both high schools by February 1 each year
• Serve as a Resource to parents

Required Skill Qualifications
Prefer working knowledge and experience with National Food Service Program

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. It is required that this individual have sufficient clarity of speech and hearing to communicate effectively. The work environment will consist of normal office conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
