The Dispensary Assistant completes tasks assigned in relation to medications being dispensed to patients in support of medical providers and nursing staff. This position is full time at 30-40 hours/week and reports to the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications
• Minimum one year of medical office or pharmacy experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) charting and/or dispensary software
• Ability to embrace and personify the mission of Guadalupe Clinic with socio-economic and cultural sensitivity in mind.
Responsibilities
• Monitor dispensary activity, dispensing medications with provider oversight during patient care.
• Verification of medication to the written order, with refill necessity and documentation into dispensary software system and the EMR.
• Work with the Dispensary Coordinator and Pharmacist in Charge to complete tasks as assigned.
