General Position Summary:
Oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, and human resources for Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Catholic Schools, Altar Society and St. Pius X Catholic Student Center.

Functional Responsibilities:

Finance and Accounting:
• Accounting System: Prepare and administer a system utilizing accepted accounting
principles to accurately record and reflect all financial transactions of the Parish, Schools, Altar Society, School Lunch Program and St. Pius X. This is in accordance with Pastoral directives, Diocesan directives, Finance Council requirements and applicable state and federal laws.
• Budget: Prepare, administer, and review budget process in collaboration with the President of Schools and the principals subject to review and/or approval by Parish Finance Council and the Pastor.
• Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports reflecting the financial status of the parish for presentation to the Finance Council and for submission the Diocesan office as required.
• Collections: Direct and monitor collection of school and daycare fees and oversee weekly tithing collections.
• Procurement: Oversee certain purchasing activities including contract negotiations and manages all payments to vendors.
• Tax: Responsible for all tax related reporting and inquiry.
Human Resources
• Salaries and Benefits: Oversee and handle benefit orientations and changes for all
employees. Propose salaries and benefit programs that are in line with experience and qualifications. Maintain information for Who’s Where, PlanSource and ProWork software program.
• Insurance: Coordinate parish casualty, property, and workers’ compensation insurance with the diocesan master insurance program.
• Parish Procedures: Ensures all staff and volunteers are well-informed and comply with all accounting and HR policies/procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required in business, accounting, finance or related field
• 3 or more years of relevant professional work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Including Outlook, Excel among others)
• Exhibit an open, approachable, ethical and enthusiastic working style and visibly engage
in all aspects of the parish, throughout the diocese and community
• Manage an organization in a collaborative manner, solicit input from those affected by
decisions, achieve consensus when possible, and yet recognize the need to be decisive
when it serves the best interests of the parish
• Have high personal and moral values, along with a strong personal work ethic
• Exhibit outstanding communication skills; oral, writing and listening
• Customer focused with strong analytical, financial, and economic thinking skills • Eager to work for a faith-based organization
Preferred Qualifications:
• Understand and appreciate the dynamics of a parochial school supported by one parish
• Experience providing analysis and reporting from a large volume of data
Evaluation:

The Pastor will conduct an annual evaluation of the Finance Manager.
