By Catherine Seiwert, Salt & Light Leadership Team
In the spirit of Pope Francis, who has shared his love for dancing, Salt & Light, Wichita’s Catholic young adults group, is embracing that and hosting, “The Pope Likes to Tango: Young Adult Dinner and Dance” Friday, Dec. 15. Young adults over the age of 21 are invited to gather in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception’s Good Shepherd Hall for an evening of donning their best attire and showing off their best moves to support the community that exists to support them.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m. for happy hour and silent auction, dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. Dress is semi-formal.
Ticket sales and silent auction proceeds will help finance the many outreach activities and hospitality efforts offered by Salt & Light. Tickets are $50 each and must be purchased by Dec. 9.
More details and an online form to purchase tickets is at tinyurl.com/PopeTango.

Salt & Light is a community that strives to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world within our larger community of Wichita. We’re here to bring young adults in their 20s and 30s into an encounter with Jesus and an authentic Christian community. We come together for friendship, formation, prayer and service. These encounters fuels our community to live out our faith in a public way in our daily lives. It inspires us to courageously share the Gospel with God’s people wherever they are found.
