Wichita WIN to celebrate 20th anniversary Oct. 13

Wichita Women’s Initiative Network is celebrating its 20th anniversary Friday, Oct. 13, with an open house and a special fundraiser.
The open house, to be held until noon, will follow a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting for the newly refurbished Wichita WIN facility at 510 E. Third in Wichita. Speakers at the ceremony will include Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell, Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett, and representatives of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Wichita WIN’s Platinum 20th Anniversary Celebration will be held from 6:30 p.m. to midnight at the Wichita Boathouse, 515 S. Wichita. The casual fundraiser will include food stations and an open bar, a silent auction of many fine gift baskets, a wine pull, and music by popular local band, Annie Up.
Tickets for the celebration are $75 each. Reserved tables are $750. Tickets may be ordered online at wichitawin.org/win-20th-event. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Wichita WIN program, sponsored by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ.
Wichita WIN provides women survivors of domestic abuse with educational and employment opportunities fostering healing and self-sufficiency. Since its founding in 1997, Wichita WIN has helped nearly 200 women and their children to emotional and financial independence.
