"My family was very open to the idea of me entering the seminary. Growing up in a strong Catholic family, we were always helping out at Church and doing various activities around there. From the beginning, they were very open to the idea of me going to the seminary, sometimes probably even more than I was. At first, I had waited to tell them that I had started the application process. I told my pastor first, and then the vocations director, and then after a couple of days, I told my mother. After I told my family, everyone was excited."
