Stewardship throughout the Year. K-6. An Overview of lesson themes, key words, and resources for K-6.
Kindergarten. Stewards of Life: Discipleship. A basic working understanding of being a disciple, a follower of Jesus. Includes a beginning activity, a script reflection and song, scripture reflection, student activity of role playing baptism and banner making, application activity, ending prayer.
Grade 1 Stewards of the Church: basic understanding of Stewardship. Includes song, student activity, application, and prayer service;
Grade 2. Stewards of Creation. Basic understanding of stewardship of creation based on the Story of Creation. Includes several student activities, application, and prayer service.
Grade 3. Stewards of Vocations. Begins with a phone call from God (vocation) and includes a guided discussion, application, prayer, and banner idea.
Grade 4. Stewards of Life-Discipleship. The relationship between stewardship, discipleship, and vocation. Includes an icebreaker, scripture reflection, activity, a guided reflection on the Baptismal Call, Ritual Prayer of the renewal of Baptismal Promises, and an application of composition/drawing activity.
Grade 5. Stewards of Vocations. Centered upon recognizing and receiving God's gifts and serving one another with these gifts (vocation). Includes Scripture reflection, guided discussion (Stone Soup), activity of designing a magazine cover (or a website), composition of a short prayer, and a prayer service.
Grade 6. Stewards of Vocation. The exploration of one's individual gifts. Includes a beginning prayer service, overview of vocation, activity, Scripture reflection, guided discussion with an older member of the parish, concluding with a prayer service.
