Site Limits

There are two ways to limit access to sites:  Either eliminate access to certain sites, or better yet( at least initially),  have access to only a few sites eliminating all the others!  Yes, have access to only 5-10 sites!  Yes, it is possible to still live without them!!!

Internet Explorer can be configured to restrict access so only a short list of approved sites can be accessed by anyone without a special password.  You will have to work with another person who would have the password.

Limit your sites to your bank, your work sites, your e-mail account.  This can be very restrictive but Mt.  5:30:  “If your access to the internet causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.  It is better for you to lose access to the internet then for your whole body, soul, and computer to go to Hell!” …okay, a loose translation but you get the point!

To find out how to do this search: “How to limit access to sites on the internet?” and you will find sites such as http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/browser/restrictie.html which tell you step by step how to do this.  Another site http://www.timeatlas.com/web_sites/general/methods_to_block_websites describes 5 ways of doing this.

Finally go to http://internet-filter-review.toptenreviews.com/ for an internet filter review that grades filters that allows limits only to certain sites (or eliminates sites).

All of these ways will require you to have a partner, sponsor, or trusted friend to create the password that you will not have access to, no matter what.
