Seminarian Education Endowment | $10 million
Thanks to the generosity of parishioners, the Diocese of Wichita has the long-established practice of paying the tuition, room and board for young men studying for the priesthood in our Diocese.
Our financial support gives a young man the freedom to go into the seminary (and to leave if he feels called to step out) without worrying about costs.
God has blessed the Diocese of Wichita with more than 40 seminarians who may one day lay down their lives in service to us. But it takes more than $1 million each year to pay their tuition, room and board.
An additional $10 million in our seminarian education endowment ensures that cost will never serve as a roadblock between our young men and the priesthood.
“The people of Christ have given me so much, and I realize that I do not have the financial means to repay them. However, I can repay them with my own life, serving them one day as a priest.”
