A ministry of compassion based on the pro-life teachings of the Catholic Church. A Better Choice is a Catholic crisis pregnancy resource center serving women who are struggling with the fear and uncertainty of an unexpected pregnancy. All services offered by A Better Choice are provided at no cost to the woman and her family. Post abortive counseling is also available through A Better Choice in collaboration with the diocesan program Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat, a ministry of the Respect Life and Social Justice Office.

Gerard House is an incorporated ministry of Via Christi Regional Medical Center, and operates under the philosophies and mission of it sponsor, and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Gerard House provides programs helpful to pregnant women, including a 24-hour shelter, a support system for women in need of life skills in parenting, social relationships, independent living, employment and continuing education.
