The Ongoing Formation Phase

This is a time for ongoing formation of the Stewardship Council and parish.

Ideas include:

  • Stewardship Prayers of the Faithful can be found on the renewal tab
  • Identify, develop and nurture leaders in your parish (Pillars of Formation and Hospitality)
    • Provide training
    • Send leaders to the Diocesan Stewardship Conference, the Parish Leadership Institute or Renew Formation conferences
    • Leadership retreat
    • Book study
  • Invite members of Pastoral Council, Finance Council, School Council to join the Stewardship Council for a book study (Pillars of Formation and Hospitality)
  • Provide opportunities for spiritual formation (Pillar of Formation)
    • Retreats
    • Presentations at existing meetings and groups
    • Book study
    • Use “Spirituality of Stewardship” DVD series in small groups

  • Provide opportunities for parishioners to discover their talents (Pillar of Formation)

  • Engage new parishioners – “Invite parishioners to participate in the life of the parish.” (Pillar of Hospitality)
