"One of the things that helped me in my discernment was having solid Catholic friends. Also, developing friendships and relationships with priests helped out quite a bit too. Getting to know the priests and realizing that they are often just an Average Joe helped make the discernment easier. Something I wish I would have done earlier in my discernment process would have been to seek out a priest for spiritual direction. Spiritual direction not only helped with getting to better know my own call, but it also helped build a stronger relationship with God. The stronger relationship has helped me build a better prayer life and understand what God is calling us to do."
