SVDP quilters hosting bingo Jan. 13 Quilters of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Andover are hosting a Quilt Bingo, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, in the Ville. There will be 20 games. All quilts are machine quilted. A hand embroidered Queen Red Star Quilt will be raffled. Chicken and noodles, chili and desserts will be available starting at 12:30 p.m.
Frank Runyeon to Perform ‘Luke: Stories on the Road’ Jan. 13 at SVdP Television star Frank Runyeon, will perform “Luke: Stories on the Road,” at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Andover. Runyeon created the 75-minute program to complement the new cycle of readings from the Gospel of Luke. The play consists of the parables that Jesus told on the road to Jerusalem and is punctuated with Runyeon’s sense of humor and reflections. The play has been described as, “an entertaining, eye-opening evening that helps us hear these stories in a new way – as stories addressed to us personally, here and now.” Runyeon is best known for his role as Steve Andropoulos opposite Meg Ryan in “As the World Turns.” He now uses his talent to bring the Scriptures to life to audiences all over the country and has won national acclaim for his work as a translator and performer of Biblical texts. There is no charge for the performance, however, a free will offering will be taken at the end of the program. Runyeon will be available after the program to visit and sign autographs.
Blessed Sacrament concert this Sunday WICHITA – Blessed Sacrament Parish is hosting its second annual Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, the Feast of the Epiphany. The handbell, youth, and adult choirs will perform during this season of Christmas. Admission is free.

SFA to offer 10-week adult Bible study WICHITA – An adult Bible study on the Gospel According to Mark will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Parish beginning Jan. 20. The 10-week session ends March 27. Participants may attend any of the duplicate weekly classes offered on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. St. Jude Knights pro-life breakfast Sunday WICHITA – St. Jude Knights of Columbus will host a breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday Jan. 6, as a pro-life fundraiser. Ham, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes will be served for a free-will offering in the school cafeteria. Proceeds will be donated to pro-life agencies.
