Parishioners at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Andover, have developed a real life Bible experience for the faithful. The parish has created a series of Bible-related displays they are calling “the Catacomb Crawl” and that are designed to open visitors’ eyes to the Scriptures.
The Catacomb Crawl, along with St. Vincent’s newly revamped LIFE sessions, are designed to engage parishioners and other visitors to consistently learn about their faith while coming together as one church family.
Father Michael Baldwin, St. Vincent’s pastor, said, “In a time when there is more interest in the Bible than ever, it’s important that people have a Catholic understanding of Scripture.”
The Catacomb Crawl displays will be available to anyone interested from now until the end of August. Some of the displays include but are not limited to:
• The Manuscripts in St. Paul’s desk
• How the Bible Came to Be
• Hebrew alphabet and the meaning behind the symbols
• Visio Divina paintings
• The Bible As a Library
