Question of the Week

Question of the WeekThe heart and the summit of the Church"s life is the Eucharist. The weekly celebration of the Eucharist defines who we are as Catholics—in our parishes, in our homes, in our community, and in our world.
The Question of the Week is a means to incorporate the Sunday Eucharist into religion classes (school and parish); faculty, pastoral council, and staff meetings; choir rehearsals; finance committee sessions; and each household of faith in the parish.

The Question of the Week is developed using the Lectionary readings for the Sunday liturgy and offered as a reflection for all the generations in the parish community. It is often introduced as a reflection at the end of the homily and inserted into the parish bulletin so it might be used in all the households of the parish. It is also used to begin parish meetings and for weekly reflection in religious education, youth ministry, and school settings.
