Support each child to reach the purpose God has for them

The St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School Fund has allowed children to come to Holy Savior Catholic Academy who may have not been able to attend otherwise. So many of our students are not Catholic, but their parents want them to have a religion-based curriculum and a high quality education for their children. This allows us to evangelize God's word to families who might not ever hear God's word! We have had many families convert to Catholicism because of attending HSCA.
The St. Drexel fund has made tutoring programs available to Holy Savior Catholic Academy. For example, we have students that do not qualify for Title I services but still need some extra academic assistance. These students are able to sign up for Intensive Tutoring Initiative. They get help from our tutor on only the skill(s) they need help on. As soon as they have that skill or skills mastered they do not attend anymore. They will let the tutors know if they need help on another skill. We also have two after-school tutoring programs available to the students: Math For Life and Reading For Life. We meet after school for one hour on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The students have a good time learning skills that they may struggle with through computer games, hands-on activities and extra one-on-one help with the teacher.
I would like to personally thank the donors to the St. Drexel fund for their assistance at Holy Savior Catholic Academy. I have taught here for nine years. I have one daughter that attended HSCA from 1st through 8th grade. She graduated 2nd in her class last year and is now attending Kapaun Mount Carmel High School and doing very well. I have another daughter who also attends HSCA and is in the 7th grade. She has attended HSCA since she was in Preschool. She is also doing very well here. Our family greatly appreciates the help we receive from the St. Drexel fund, so our school can stay open and receive the wonderful opportunities that other Catholic Schools receive.
Sincerely in Chirst,
