"Even though it was fifteen years ago, I remember the evening clearly. I had asked a couple to speak to a group of donors about why they should help fund the Catholic education of Spanish-speaking families.

"Neither parent was comfortable speaking in English, so they would say a few words, and their son would translate.

"This is what they said, 'If not for you, my children would not be able to attend a Catholic school to learn about Jesus and pray every day.'
