Adopt a Shelter Family and Christmas Caring

Christmas Caring

Bringing our Gifts this Christmas

Showing you care has never been easier than during the Christmas season. This Christmas, Catholic Charities has two opportunities for you and your family to show you care that will assist our client families as well as families in the community at large.

Back by popular demand, Adopt a Shelter Family is a way that you can provide basic living necessities and household items for a family exiting Catholic Charities shelters: Harbor House; domestic violence shelter and St. Anthony Family Shelter for homeless families. If you are interested in adopting a family please contact, development coordinator, Amy Smith, at asmith@CatholicCharitiesWichita.org.

You can also participate in Catholic Charities Christmas Caring. In a new collaboration with Interfaith Ministries, we hope to increase our ability to meet the needs of those families needing assistance in the community by doing what we do best: giving our time, talent and treasure. Volunteers are needed for helping with set-up, sorting donations, the distribution of gifts and a variety of other activities during Interfaith Ministries' annual Operation Holiday event. Please contact volunteer coordinator, Rachel Hittner, at rhittner@CatholicCharitiesWichita.org for more information.

As you plan for your family's Christmas this year, we invite you to help serve the families of Wichita and help us make it a Christmas to remember.
