Catholic Charities Domestic Violence Services is seeking an advocate to work in the OARS program at SRS. Knowledge of domestic and sexual violence and issues pertaining to the empowerment of women and children is preferred. Applicants must possess the ability to work with a variety of people. is responsible for the coordination and identification of client strengths, resources, priorities, abilities and interest to seek and secure competitive employment. ES will be responsible for the development of a program, which offers employment opportunities for individuals participating in the Marriage for Keeps program. Under general direction from the Shelter Supervisor of Harbor House, provides advocacy to clients who reside in the shelter home. Oversees nightly operations of shelter home and assists residents in their day-to-day requirements. Cleans public areas of the shelter and stocks supplies. Receives prospective clients and determines eligibility for service. Supports and advises clients in achieving goals to new lifestyle.
