Annulment workshop Sept. 14 at Schulte
St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Schulte will host a workshop about Catholic marriage annulments at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14. St. Peter’s adult formation program GIFT, Growing in Faith Together, is sponsoring the event. It is open to people from other parishes.
The workshop will explain the annulment process, talk about who needs an annulment and why, look at some common myths and fears, address what an annulment costs and how long the process takes. Participants will leave the workshop knowing who to contact and how to begin the process of seeking an annulment.
The workshop will be facilitated by Msgr. Robert Hemberger and Ann Hughes. Msgr. Hemberger is vicar central and moderator of the curia and one of the priests who works in the diocesan Tribunal Office. He was judicial vicar and director of the Tribunal for 17 years. Ann Hughes is director of Faith Formation at St. Mary’s Church in Derby and has been an advocate for the Tribunal for 18 years.
