Elevating Health Campaign

After more than thirty years of providing quality health care services to the uninsured, poor and homeless in our community, increasing awareness of the Guadalupe Clinic story, is still a challenge.

This spring, we'll have an opportunity to inform a new audience. Skyward Credit Union, the official credit union of Textron Aviation Employees and their families, has agreed to donate the cost of a patient visit for every pledge during KMUW radio station's spring pledge drive.  This is a unique opportunity to partner with KMUW radio listeners and donors during their Spring pledge drive from March 6th through April 13th, while Skyward Credit Union's Elevating Health campaign is assisting Guadalupe Clinic in its mission to provide quality health care to the uninsured, working poor, and homeless.  Please tune in to KMUW for pledge details, give a donation to Guadalupe Clinic, and consider Skyward Credit Union for your banking needs.

Our History

In 1985, six volunteer nurses decided to change the face of medicine in Wichita.  They wanted quality affordable health care made available to everyone, regardless of income.  They founded Guadalupe Health Station, which later was renamed Guadalupe Clinic.  Now some 32 years later, there are three clinics and volunteers and staff also provide outreach services at various locations around Wichita.  Guadalupe Clinic has been a donation-based clinic since its inception in 1985. Patients are asked for a $5 donation and receive a doctor's care, lab tests, x-rays, and medication for that donation. No one is ever turned away due to an inability to donate.   Medical volunteers along with staff provide thousands of medical services each year to those in our community with no insurance or other affordable means to health care services.

These are the many companies and foundations that have provided Guadalupe Clinic with needed funding through grant opportunities. We are humbled and grateful for their belief in our mission and for all of their generous support.
