The diocesan Offices of Faith Formation and Marriage and Family Life invite you to the second annual Faith and Family Festival – a place where families grow in faith together. It will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Wichita.
Once again, the festival is being hosted in collaboration with the St. John Paul II Foundation.
The day will include dynamic presentations, Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and an opportunity to spend a day in prayer and reflection with your spouse. Danielle Bean, publisher of Catholic Digest, and Arland K. Nichols, president of the St. John Paul II Foundation, will be the keynote speakers for the adult portion of the festival. The day will conclude with a vigil Mass and cookout.
Adults will participate once again in the Together in Holiness marriage conference designed to inspire couples to grow together in holiness and empowers parents to form their children in the Catholic faith.
“We’re meeting married couples where they are in their marriages, and helping them set a course together based on teaching and spirituality of the church, which is incredibly rich and diverse in its wisdom,” says Stephen Phelan, vice president of Family Initiatives at the St. John Paul II Foundation.
“Newlyweds, new parents, ‘empty nesters,’ grandparents – the church has so much to offer that will lift us up and help us see a joyful way forward that will last. We bring this good news about the family wherever we can and make it as accessible and fun as possible, so we’re thrilled when spouses get excited and encourage their friends to join them at the conference.”
Samour is the director of the Office of Marriage and Family Life.
