Stephanie A. Mann, a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish, Wichita, will lead a tour of England Sept. 4-12 focused on the English Reformation and the Catholic Martyrs of the 16th and 17th centuries.
“This trip is a pilgrimage, based on stories of the Catholic Martyrs included in my book, Supremacy and Survival: How Catholics Endured the English Reformation. We will visit important sites in York, Oxford, London, Canterbury, and Arundel in West Sussex,” Mann said.
The tour will be managed by Corporate Travel Services and includes airfare, 4-star hotels in York and London, transportation, entrance fees as necessary, and designated meals. Participants will receive a copy of Mann’s book and will be able to attend daily Mass with the spiritual director of the tour, Father Steve Mateja of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
More information, including a brochure for download, is available on Mann’s blog at www.supremacyandsurvival.blogspot.com or by calling Corporate Travel at (313) 565-8888.
“This is a great opportunity to visit England and learn more about the great heroes of conscience in that era, like St. Thomas More, who wrestled with their loyalties to church and state; see some magnificent architecture, like York Minster, Canterbury Cathedral, and Westminster Abbey, and visit the English countryside in the south of England,” Mann said.
