WICHITA – Michael Taylor has taken over the reigns of Catholic Family Federal Credit Union. Taylor, who began working at CFFCU on Jan. 1, succeeds Marilyn Wells.
Taylor, the president/CEO, said, “I am very excited about being on the team at Catholic Family Federal Credit Union and working to make CFFCU the premier Catholic credit union of choice. I have a vision of our credit union being totally connected to the Catholic community family.”
CFFCU Board Chairman Ron Lee said the board was apprehensive going into the search.
“We had not changed management in nearly 25 years and with the current economic climate we knew we had a challenge in store. In addition, the board instituted some lofty goals in order to gain our place in the market and to greatly enhance our service to the Catholic community.”
Lee said the interviews quickly narrowed to Taylor, based on his past experience, the manner in which he welcomed the challenge, and because he wants to grow the credit union’s base and services to the Catholic and related community.
“We are very pleased with the current path and outlook Michael brings to the staff and Catholic Family Federal Credit Union,” Lee said.
Taylor was born and raised in a small farm community in southwest Indiana. He completed his education and started working at a financial institution in Indiana.
