Pro Sanctity Fun and Faith Camp July 6-8 in Viola
St. John Parish will host “God’s Amazing Race,” a Pro Sanctity Fun and Faith Camp, the weekend of July 6-8. The parish is located 25 miles southwest of Wichita on Kansas 42. The address is 18630 W 71st St. S. in Viola.
The junior and senior high school night will be held on Friday, July 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. The camp for kindergartners through 7th grade will be Saturday, July 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Student counselors 8th grade and older and adult helpers are needed for the K through 7 camp. Sunday, July 8, is Family Day beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Mass followed by a potluck brunch and programs for the whole family.
Pro Sanctity is a worldwide movement rooted in Catholic traditions and dedicated to the universal call to holiness in everyday life.
Registration ends June 25. Names and ages of children are needed for registration. SFA Boy Scouts to host 50th anniversary June 23-24 at the parish
WICHITA – Boy Scout Troop 762 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish will celebrate 50 years of scouting this summer.
Current and former scouts and scouters are invited to any or all of the activities June 23 and 24. Activities will include Mass on Saturday, golf, Ultimate Frisbee, and a catered dinner Saturday night in Stewardship Hall after the 6:30 Mass.

BC actors honored
Several Bishop Carroll Catholic High School actors have been recently honored.
Junior Sophia Macias won the Music Theatre of Wichita Jester award for Outstanding Leading Actress for her performance as Miss Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls.”
Gavin Myers won Outstanding Leading Actor for his performance as Nathan Detroit in “Guys and Dolls.” Bishop Carroll was also nominated for The Gamblers Small Ensemble and for the dance production number “Crapshooters Ballet.”
Myers also received the National High School Music Theatre Award and will travel to NYU in New York City later this month.
While there, Myers will have the opportunity to work with Broadway directors, choreographers, acting coaches, vocal coaches, and Broadway performers. At the end of the week, Gavin will perform on Broadway at the Minskoff Theatre.
Myers has performed in several community productions at MTW, MTYP, and the Center for the Arts.
