The Catholic School Office of the Diocese of Wichita has announced the winners of this year’s Msgr. Leon McNeill Scholar and Msgr. Arthur Barth Awards.

Msgr. Barth Awards

About the Msgr. Barth Awards
The Msgr. Arthur Barth High School Scholar Award recognizes high school seniors who have all As, with the exception of one B in an honors class or two Bs in honors classes if more than 10 hours of honors classes have been taken. The student must have at least eight hours of honors courses, a minimum ACT score of 30 (or an SAT score of 1300), and an outstanding record of discipline. In addition, they must be active in parish stewardship, receive the recommendation of the Pastoral Care Director of their respective high school, be involved in at least two school activities, and be an effective leader in at least one organization.

About the Msgr. McNeill Awards
The Msgr. Leon McNeill Eighth Grade Scholar Award recognizes eighth grade students who are generally A students and have no more than one grade of B. Students must have exemplary conduct records and must have received a rating of at least 15 on the Grade School Recommendation. Students must be approved by their Pastor as active parish members.
