Will be in diocese beginning mid-September
Kansas Knights of Columbus will participate in the 50th anniversary of the Running of the Silver Rose. Knights will participate in the North American effort to pay a special tribute to the patroness of the Americas, Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The Running of the Silver Rose begins in Ontario, Canada, and ends in Monterrey, Mexico. This year three roses will each travel through 10 U.S. states throughout the west coast, central and east coast regions, before ending in Mexico on Dec. 12, 2010, the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

One rose will wind its way through Kansas beginning on Sept. 5 before it is taken to Missouri Knights on Sept. 25. At each stop along the route a special prayer service will be held to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe. All are invited. The rose’s schedule is listed below.
