Advent Silent Retreat

What can you do during one of the busiest times of the year? Stop! Slow down and just spend some time listening to Jesus.

Each December, the Office of Faith Formation coordinates a Silent Retreat at the Spiritual Life Center during the season of Advent. Participants arrive on Friday evening and enjoy some non-silent social time. Refreshments, games and conversation all take place in a relaxed setting. On Saturday morning, the participants observe silence from breakfast until our closing at around 4pm. Typically, participants are invited to assemble twice for a one-hour presentation by our retreat leader. Opportunities for Mass and Confession are also provided.

Overnight accommodations at the Spiritual Life Center are available for those who do not wish to commute.

Advent is a time when our "souls in stillness wait" for the coming of the Lord. The Advent Silent Retreat is a perfect way to help re-capture the beauty of this time of waiting.
