Vocations are a gift from God.  It is a privilege to be assigned to work each day with men responding to God's call to the priesthood and seminary.  It is even more of a privilege to be a witness to God's great work in our diocese as he blesses us with many young men who have the courage to respond.

At the same time we are challenged becuase we do not have enough seminarians to fill the need for priests in the diocese of Wichita.  Would you consider responding to God's call to you?

As Associate Director of Promotions Fr. Gorges inspires others to promote vocations to the priesthood and to build a culture of vocations throughout our diocese.  In this role, he encourages lay persons to create this culture within their parish, and, most importantly, in their homes, the domestic church. Rev. Joseph C. Tatro, Associate Director of Formation

As Associate Director of Formation Fr. Tatro helps our candidates and seminarians to become the men they need to be in order to serve our local church.  It is his role to assist with the application process, to provide mentoring for candidates to the seminary and seminarians, and to coordinate discernment groups.  Formation is the key element that will help to make our candidates and seminarians healthy and holy men who will better serve you in the future.

Rev. Patrick G. York, Associate Director of Recruiting
As Associate Director of Recruiting Fr. York assists with the vital role of meeting one on one with young men who are interested in discerning God's call.  He works with these men both as a spiritual director and mentor.  In his part, he answers questions and prepares them to further their journey in discernment, and possibly to apply for seminary.  On occasion, he is known for taking a recruit out for a free meal.  Come on, give him a call!
