Msgr. Carr, Advance team up to produce videos about the faith

The Catholic Advance has initiated a series of online video presentations called “Through the Church Year” to help the faithful learn a little bit more about their Catholic faith.
Monsignor William M. Carr, long-time priest of the diocese and contributor to the Advance, will be teaching about the various feasts of the Catholic calendar and about the Catholic liturgical year.
Three videos by Msgr. Carr are now online, one is about Christ the King, which was celebrated on Nov. 22; one is about Advent, which started last Sunday; and the third is about the church’s teaching regarding the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, which will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 8. It is also a holy day of obligation.
Monsignor Carr says the church celebrates three comings of Christ during Advent: his coming as an infant, his coming at the end of the world, and his coming to us everyday through his grace.
The videos are still available at catholicadvance.org. Click on the “Podcasts and media” category in the left column. It is also available at
