Hutch bookstore to show new Fatima movie to parishes
HUTCHINSON – Sarah’s Catholic Bookstore, 304 N. Main St., has received the rights to show “The 13th Day,” a new film about the miracle of Fatima, to parishes at no charge.
Ronald Kelley, who works at the family store, said he saw previews at a New Jersey Catholic trade show and was prompted to spark interest in the film.
“Catholics will enjoy it,” he said. “It’s very dramatic and very well done.”
The movie is about the three children who saw apparitions of Our Lady in 1917 in Fatima, Portugal. The apparitions ended with a public Miracle of the Sun on Oct. 13. Shot on location in Portugal and in the UK, the film has a cast of hundreds to re-create the scenes of the 70,000 strong crowds who witnessed the miracle.
