St. Gianna Health Clinic open Saturday
KINGMAN – The St. Gianna Health Clinic will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 17, in the United Methodist Church in Kingman.
The clinic is open for the uninsured and those who are at or below the 200 percent poverty line.

Holy Name, Bushton, fall supper Oct. 25
BUSHTON – Holy Name Parish, located three and a half miles southwest of Bushton, will hold its annual Fall Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.
A roast beef dinner will be served, along with a salad bar and dessert. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages six to 12. Children ages five and under are free.
The evening also will include a raffle, featuring a queen-size quilt as grand prize, and numerous other prizes, children’s games, cake wheel and bingo.

Waterloo pancake and sausage supper Nov. 7
St. Louis Parish, Waterloo, is hosting a pancake and sausage supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.
The cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for grade school students, and free for pre-schoolers.

Holy Spirit, Goddard, benefit set for Oct. 17
GODDARD – Holy Spirit Catholic School is hosting a Caribbean Sunset Dinner, dance and benefit auction from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, in the Dugan-Gorges Conference Center. The center is located in the Newman University Library.
The cost is $25 per ticket and includes dinner, dessert, and beverages. Live and silent auctions will be held along with music and dancing.

Derby Knights to have barbecue on Oct 24
The Derby Knights of Columbus are hosting a barbecue on from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in the St. Mary School gym on the corner of Madison and Derby Avenue.
Tickets are $10, for dine-in or carryout. Dinner includes choice of two meats, sides, dessert, and beverage.  All proceeds will go to the St. Mary Parish building fund, to help build a new school. 

St. Anthony to host open house Nov. 8
WICHITA – St. Anthony Church will host a Grand Opening Dedication and Religious Art Show and Sale in the newly remodeled St. Clare Sunshine Room from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8. The room will be blessed at 1:05 p.m.
Tours of the restored church interior will be given at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Art from three local artists who worked on the recent restoration will display and have religious art work for sale. Lynda Beck, Raphael Robles and Jennifer Walterscheid will feature their paintings, artifacts and religious icons.
Refreshments will be served and the public at large is invited.

St. James parishioner hits a hole in one
It took four score years, but a parishioner at St. James Parish, Augusta, has joined an exclusive golf club. Clarence Martinez, who turned 80 over the summer, hit a hole in one at the Augusta Country Club Thursday, Oct. 1.
Martinez used a 7-iron on the 8th hole to clear the 140 yards on a par 3. It was his first hole in one.

St. Joseph Parish bingo, auction Oct. 17
A Bingo and Silent Auction to benefit St. Joseph Catholic School, Wichita, will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, in the parish hall.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for concessions and the silent auction. Bingo begins at 6. The minimum prize is $50 per game. The grand prize is two tickets to the Dec. 13 Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills football game.

All Saints Day Vespers Nov. 1 at Resurrection
Church of the Resurrection, 4910 N. Woodlawn in Wichita, will host a special sung Vespers service (evening prayer) for the solemnity of All Saints Day at 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1. Vespers is part of the church’s “Liturgy of the Hours”, a cycle of daily prayer intended to become the prayer of the whole people of God, and inspired by Christ’s words to “pray always”.
In addition to the hymns, canticles, and chanted psalms from the Liturgy of the Hours, Church of the Resurrection Choir will sing the “Pie Jesu” and “Lux Aeterna” from the Requiem Mass by John Rutter. The service will last about 40 minutes. All are invited to attend.
