The Knights of Columbus Council 691 has awarded the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception a $700 grant for its Third annual Health Fair, Sunday, Nov. 8.
The event annually provides free health screenings and flu shots for the Cathedral parishioners. The fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St. Pius X Room. The first l00 persons will receive the free shots – an increase in the price of the flu shots will limit the number of free shots provided this year. Flu shots will also be available to those who have Medicare insurance and other health insurance plans.
The fair annually offers blood pressure checks, bone density tests, blood sugar checks, dental exams for children and adults, according to Consuelo Dean, who chairs the event.
